What is it?

The natural beauty of Golden's Castle Rock and the Kiwanis Flag Service - What A Pair! The Kiwanis Club of Golden is a non-profit organization dedicated to service to the community and youth.  Kiwanis International, an organization of clubs throughout the world, charters us.  While our efforts are primarily focused on the Golden community, we also are active participants in in regional and global Kiwanis initiatives.

Kiwanis Projects

Our two signature projects are the Golden Flag Service Project and the Den Galbraith Scholarship Fund Wine Tasting Party.  We actively support the youth of Golden through our sponsorship of Boy Scout Troop 130, the Key Club at Golden High School, and the Circle K Club at Colorado School of Mines.  Internationally, we take part in the Kiwanis Young Children Priority One initiative, and have regularly contributed to the Kiwanis and UNICEF partnership to prevent Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) by treating salt in underdeveloped countries. In the Rocky Mountain region, we support the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI) at Children’s Hospital.

Benefits of Membership

Kiwanis gives us an opportunity to give back to our community some of what we have been given. We also benefit by meeting for informative, relevant programs in a fellowship that broadens your perspective. There are no initiations, rituals, or funny hats!
